Confectionery and Snacks

We are a world-renowned independent expert in the confectionery sector, offering you a unique combination of market, regulatory, and technical advice and consultancy. Leatherhead Food Research has a proven record of expertise in this area, developing new products with confectionery and snack manufacturers, and demonstrating ingredient application for ingredient companies.

We also carry out in-depth research on confectionery for our Members.

Our view of ingredients is unbiased and not limited in choice. Work carried out will remain totally focused, confidential, and independent.

We have a well-equipped development laboratory for bench and pilot-scale production of a large range of sugar and chocolate confectionery products.

Equipment includes an enrober and cooling tunnel, enabling the production of a wide range of coated products such as chocolate countlines, cereal bars, cakes and biscuits. Our main pilot plant also provides opportunities to develop other snack products.
