Leatherhead Food Research provides an expert glycaemic index (GI) testing service to the food, beverage and ingredients industries. The glycaemic index is a ranking of carbohydrate-containing foods on a scale of 0-100, based on the extent to which they elevate blood sugar levels.

Glucose reference (control) is tested in triplicate and the product is tested in duplicate for high accuracy of results
If required, additional testing can be carried out to determine available carbohydrate content, insulin response or various other metabolic markers. The GI testing service is supported by a comprehensive in-house nutrient analysis service, product reformulation, labelling consultancy, as well as our ingredients expertise..
Prices are dependant on the number of products tested, with discounts available for testing multiple samples. Turnaround times also depend on the number of samples and a completion date will be supplied upon receipt of samples.
