International Symposium on Carbohydrates for Healthy Future: Lifestyle to Product Development

This International Symposium, jointly organised by the Protein Foods & Nutrition Development Association of India and Roquette, will address some of the issues related to the intake of different carbohydrates and their alternatives that would be suitable for modern lifestyles.

Leatherhead's Neil Patel, Senior Sensory & Consumer Technician, will be speaking on "Overcoming the Sensory Challenges of Developing Reduced-sugar Products without Compromising Taste, Texture and Mouth Feel”. His talk will outline the role of sugar, possible sugar reduction approaches, the impact of sugar reduction in product formulations, sensory and textural aspects of sugar reduction and ways to improve and match consumer acceptance.
