Picture of finger prickWith health and nutrition being high on the agenda of the global food and drink industry, Leatherhead’s broad expertise can provide research to help industry address its needs. The majority of our nutrition and health research studies focus on one or more of the following areas:

Our research services fall under four main categories:

  1. Confidential Research – Research for a single company to tackle a specific issue.
  2. Members Research Forums – This research is chosen by the Membership and is disseminated free of charge to Members as part of the Membership package. Past Nutrition Forum projects include:
    • Helping Consumers to Eat Fewer Calories: Development of a Standardised Method for Satiety Measurement and a Comparison of the Effects of Different Ingredients on Satiety
    • Cereal Fibre Consumption and Vascular Function
    • Sustained Energy Release: Review of Novel Weight Management Ingredients and Approaches to Lowering the GI of Foods
  3. Collaborative Research – Research for several companies all interested in the same issue. We regularly undertake collaborative research projects relevant to the development of new products and the safety requirements of the food industry. Collaborative research allows you to reduce research costs, keep up-to-date with legislation and technology, increase the competitiveness of your company and provide an excellent opportunity to network and lead your industry. Recent collaborative research projects include:
