  • Hypohydration can, in some circumstances, have a negative impact on physical performance - in some circumstances it may improve performance.
  • Hydration status of individuals can be estimated and is typically done using urinary parameters.
  • Sweat losses, with regard to both volume and composition can be very different between individuals and because of this drinking recommendations for people exercising should be individualised.
