Member-only webinar

A global regulatory update on food allergen labelling

Date: 15 November, 2023

Time: 14:00-14:45 GMT

Members: Book now

Chaired by Senior Membership Manager, Leon Cook and delivered by Senior Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Manager, Simon Linsley, you will gain an insight into the current and forthcoming global regulatory landscapes for allergens.

With significant emphasis placed on informing the consumers on the presence of life-threatening allergens in foods and beverages, there is nothing more important than ensuring that the allergen labels are clear and transparent.

However, with different countries putting in different definitions and requirements, there is a worrying global non-harmonisation coming up.

This is further complicated by the increasing and unstoppable demand for plant-based food and the innovation within food contact materials.

Lastly, with Precautionary Allergen Labelling (PAL) and detection thresholds on the scene, it is essential that the food and beverage companies are keeping up to date with the regulatory and technological changes.
