Brexit and the Food and Beverage Industry
Leatherhead advises Members to ensure they are prepared for all post-transition Brexit scenarios. Following the UK's departure from the EU single market and customs union, the food and beverage industry is still unclear as to the future alignment of Great Britain and EU regulatory machines.
The Brexit challenge is unique and whilst much of the industry was expecting regulatory alignment outside of the EU, recent developments suggest that this may not be the case. As we progress through 2021 and the specifics of any divergence become clearer, it is likely that regulatory services will be in high demand. We are therefore encouraging our members to be sure they have anticipated and planned ahead for both the most likely and significant scenarios.
